The Australian Karting Championship (AKC) is next on the Eastern Lions Kart Club(ELKC) calendar, with Round 4 of the five-round national series set to be held at ELKC from 4 to 6 September 2026. As Australia's premier karting championship, the AKC brings together the nation's best drivers across multiple classes to compete for valuable championship points and national titles ahead of the season finale. This exciting event showcases some of the country's top emerging motorsport talent and promises a weekend of high-quality racing action.

September is shaping up to be a busy month for Eastern Lions Kart Club. Back to back, following a huge Australian Kart Championship event, there will be little time to catch our breath before attention turns to the Junior Sprint Classic, one of the most anticipated junior karting events on the calendar.
Planning is already well underway, and we're excited to be preparing for what promises to be a fantastic weekend of racing and entertainment.

Taking place on 19-20 September 2026, the Junior Sprint Classic showcases the next generation of karting talent, bringing together drivers and families from across the country for two days of exciting competition and community spirit.

ELKC Junior committee - make a difference
Eastern Lions Kart Club (ELKC) and its Committee are strong supporters of the ELKC Junior Committee, recognising that karting is a sport for all ages, including that Cadet and Junior members comprise a significant proportion of the Club’s membership. ELKC acknowledges the importance of supporting Cadet and Junior drivers and members, recognising that their development is vital to the ongoing strength and future growth of our Club.
The Junior Committee provides Cadet and Junior members with a platform to have a voice, ensuring their ideas, feedback, and needs are heard and considered.
