Membership and Licence Application Guide

Memberships and Licences are applied for and managed within the Karting Australia Licence and Management Portal (KOMP).

A headshot photo must be uploaded during the licence application process and karters under the age of 18 will need a birth certificate or passport to verify age.

To begin your application, visit: https://portal.karting.net.au/

 

Step 1 – Registration ID Creation for Participant
In the KOMP portal, select “Don't have an account? Sign up now!”. If the applicant is under 18 years old, the parent should complete this step. Make a note of the 8-digit number provided, as this will be the parent’s registration number.

Step 2 – Apply for a Participant Licence
Navigate to: APPLICATIONS > CREATE A APPLICATION > LICENCES > PARTICIPANTS LICENCE. No fees apply for this licence.

Step 3 – Registration ID Creation for Driver
In the KOMP portal, select “Don't have an account? Sign up now!” for the driver. Complete all required details. The 8-digit number assigned will serve as the driver’s licence and registration number.

Step 4 – Apply for Club Membership
Log in using the driver’s registration ID and proceed to APPLICATIONS > CREATE A APPLICATION > CLUB MEMBERSHIP. Fill out all details and make the payment. The parent or participant may add their registration ID to the membership during this step.

Step 5 – Apply for Driver’s Licence
In the KOMP portal, go to APPLICATIONS > CREATE A APPLICATION > LICENCES and select the appropriate licence type (Recreational or Competition). Complete all required details and make the payment.
